Default Soul Performance High Flow Cats

Anyone have the Soul high flow cats for the 991.2? I’ve been thinking about it since I ordered my car and now is a good time to pull the trigger price wise because of the Black Friday Sale. Just wonder how many are happy with the choice. Thanks

The guys there are great, I bought a muffler delete from them for my 911R and it was great. Great customer service too. I'd recommend.

I've got them on my GTS! There's very little difference with the exhaust in standard mode. Sport get's noticeably louder. I've noticed a slight bit of drone between 2500 and 3500 RPM but I couldn't really hear the exhaust much from inside the car with the windows up before the upgrade anyways so it was a welcome bit of noise The deeper tones are louder once the car gets onto boost, angrier-sounding overall. The crackles in Sport mode are pretty loud now as well.

This video is with the passenger-side window rolled down so you can hear the exhaust reverberate against the wall.

Default I have them on my 2018 Targa 4 GTS ...

I have a 2018 Targa 4 GTS with the PSE and MT (among other things) .... most excellent car, BTW!

Ordered the sport cats from Soul couple months ago and had my Porsche dealer install same. Obvious improvement in power, SOTP of course, but the improvement in the already nice change from the Hoover exhaust note on most 911 ... and, over the PSE on my car was a quite welcomed surprise.

The folks at Soul were very nice to speak with. The Sport Cats were shipped quickly and arrived in 2 days. I ordered from Soul because they had the same/same cats (HKS, I believe), but a price that was around $800 less than the other places ... shipping was included (and fast), and I enjoyed speaking with them. I was not disappointed.

But ....

After couple days and couple hundred miles later, the car threw a CEL. I went back to the Porsche dealer and they reset the car and down loaded the codes ... which I sent to Soul. John B from Soul responded quickly with probable causes and we preceded from there. The reset did not work. Obviously, the car was reading an error code from the 2nd'ary O2 sensors, and tossing the CEL.

Soul said they would ship new cats at their cost and have the other ones removed and replaced at their cost as well. But, I suggested trying to install the spacers to keep from all the work involved in redoing all this stuff. They shipped the spacers out and I got them in 2 days. Porsche dealer wanted to reinstall the oem cats and see if there was something going on with the car ... but, I said, let's try the spacers. Less time involved and a relatively quick fix.

That was done today ... .spacers are mini-cats with a longer space for the car's computer to read the exhaust gases as they exit the cats. Seems to work. And, the car is spectaular! No in cabin drone at any rpm (and I've had cars with aftermarket exhaust systems with drone), excellent improvement in sound, increased power (maybe 10 ponies), and great customer service by the folks at Soul and my Hoffman Porsche dealer in Hartford, CT. Could not be more thrilled with everything.

BTW, Soul has a great Black Friday sale going on these puppies. If you have PSE, I'd suggest you grab a pair.

I installed them myself on my GTS. They are perfect sounding as I wanted - closer to 991.1 sound without being obnoxious. These do this with turbo whistle of course. After a couple weeks there was a very noticeable increase in engine liveliness. It’s like they woke the motor up a bit more. They are well made and I would recommend them.

So, I'm upgrading my 991.2 CS2 by adding the X51 Powerekit. I've already got the PSE. I'm considering getting the Soul High flow cats and having them installed at the same time.

For you guys with a GTS and the Soul cats, what are your thoughts after having the cats for awhile? My main goal is to get a deeper, meatier sound with the added benefit of a mild performance boast.

Anyone? Just wondering about your thoughts and if you feel it was worthwhile in retrospect.

I'd be happy to chat with you if you any questions at all! A few members have left reviews on the product page.

Were these the O2 spacers that Soul sent to you to fix the CEL?

You shouldn't need the mini cat /O2 spacers with the soul 200 cell cats.
And they do produce an improvement in sound on my 991.2 GTS.

I have a 991.2 C2S with X51 Powerkit and the Soul 200 cell cats. I really like the sound. Like some have said, not much overall difference in normal mode, but Sport sounds deeper and throatier. I just had an IPD Plenum and BMC Airfilter installed, along with the AMS Intercoolers. Overall, I’d say the car breathes pretty well. Still waiting to go beyond the Cobb Stage 1 tune, but for now the car is right in the area of where I wanted it to be and it sounds great.

Hey Bagger, to confirm, you had a CEL with the 200cell sport cats, not the cat delete pipes? thanks!

We sent out another set of sport cats and the issue remained, but it went away with the replacement of an O2 sensor. The original set of sport cats in question were returned to us and are currently being used on another car with no issues. Other than this situation, we are not aware of any other check engine light related issues with our sport cats.
