My last squeak - seat bolster
I've got the car at 99% now, most squeaks eradicated, broken COVs fixed, fresh oil and brake fluid, purring like a kitten...
The last thing on my list of annoyances is the driver seat: the left side thigh bolster squeaks whenever my leg moves or on road bumps... Pretty sure it's the bolster pressuring the seat's electric controls there... I read some of you got the dealer to insert foam or what have you.. Anyone do this themselves ? I'm post warranty and sick of paying for stuff.... Just looking for some DIY... Do you know if they pull the control panel for the seat or totally remove the seat from the car and go from below ?

Mine does this too - from what I can tell the part of the seat where the controls are kinda "rides" on the base of the seat. Feel along below the controls sitting in the seat and lean to make it move. You'll see what I'm talking about. I think this can be lubed but I think I'm gonna try some felt, like the felt along the seatbelt clasp.
Good luck!

I have the exact same problem in a '17 GTS. Very frustrating that better QC does not exist for a car at this price level. My last one, a '13 4S lost a tensioning pulley in the fan belt which cause a minor smolder and forever tainted the car with smoke odor. What's going on with Porsche - these are German cars suffering from Italian problems?

Interesting that I have had a squeak on the passenger side dash ever since I picked her up in October (991.1) but ever since the cold temps have arrived is has disappeared.

I feel pretty stupid about this one.... I like to sit low, but I raised the seat for cleaning under and noticed the squeak was gone.. I simply lowered it back but 1/4" higher than absolute bottom and no more squeak... Good enough !!!

Where are the snarky Rennlist responses like:
#racecar
because racecar
hold shifts longer for more engine noise
turn up the burmiester
etc
