Spec a Carrera T
Hey Rennlisters, spec my Carrera T in Australia now. Not too many ppl talking about this car in here no need to say the spec.
My build code: PJF58MX1
Racing Yellow
Leather interior black with Carrera T interior package, Contrasting colour: Racing Yellow
Transmission / Chassis
7-speed manual transmission
Front axle lift system
Rear-axle steering
Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB)
Wheels
20-inch Carrera S wheels painted in Titanium Grey (high-gloss)
Light design package
Sports seats Plus (4-way, electric)
Smoking package
Interior Package Carrera T
& some $0 stuff
Looks quite heavy spec, I don't care about depreciation so I just put what I want there. Yes I can afford to replace a new PCCB.
My question is should I put PCM there? If so, it's compulsory to have PCM + multi function steering wheel and extra weight. If no then parking may be a small issue? And no PCM -> no music

Three Wheelin'
This car is unique to me because you can option these items all in the same build.
-LWB
-Manual transmission
-Burmeister
im not sure any other car, including the GT3 will let you do that so that would be my first three choices. I'd likely get the Carrera t interior package and pccb.

I would also get LWB. Your'e better off ordering them, than removing them and buying a set of new or used seats to use. The demand far exceeds supply for LWB's in good condition.
It's the only street legal seat in the US that you can install into a Carrera/Cay with harnesses.

Funky T pack striped seats any day. Those LWBs hurt.
OP, get the PCM (and the 8 speakers that it comes with that adds the weight). Having the benefit of maps will get you to where you're going a lot quicker than the weight saving advantage of deleting the PCM. And having the MF wheel is optional with PCM.
Nice spec BTW. Mine locks 30 Nov, build 10 Jan.

I am also in Sydney and would order this car in a heartbeat if I had the means.
My spec would be simple - http://www.porsche-code.com/PJT52994
Less than 10k in options.
Approx 250k AUD out the door.
- GT silver
- Model + Carrera T decal deletion
- Carrera T standard interior
- We are lucky to get the folding buckets here in Aus but you can't get Carrera T interior with them so I would stick with standard seats.
- Carrera sport wheels in grey
- I say keep the PCM, parking may be tough without it and driving with no music/radio gets old quickly... also it's free.
- Lane Change.
- Light design.
- Manual Transmission.
It's a shame you can't get the GT steering wheel if you get the PCM
Front nose lift and rear wheel steer would be nice but add over 10k to the price..

The way I'd do it:
Silver w/o PCCB @ $109,670
PJXWJJB0
http://www.porsche-code.com/PJXWJJB0
I need back seats, and am over the interior froufrou (plus it adds $2400-6600), and so the only question is whether I'd add PCCB, but that takes the price to $118k. Ouch. Might do it anyway...

($1210) and Bose ($1600) when you say your "over the interior froufrou"? Knocking off those two, plus PDLS and the heavier wheels would get you halfway to your PCCBs?
PS: Issue #03 of triple-zero was a gob-smacking, expectation-resetting work of art. Congrats.

Colour combo looks good to me and nice interior, leather stitching etc.
The weight of the PCM, MFSW must be no more than a handful of kilos - I would certainly spec these and the reverse camera. I honestly think you will miss them if you don't select.
PCCB seems overkill at ~A$20k regardless of your ability to replace. Porsche steel brakes have been outstanding for decades and I've not seen a single 911 review (base, S, GTS, GT3) that criticised the standard brakes.
If you are more than 5'10" I would consider the 18w seats, or have a custom made seat base cushion if they are available locally. For tall drivers the front of the seat base is too low and all the weight is on your bottom.
Bottoms up!

Pete: Curious why you'd spring for the personalized door sill guards

Thanks for the kind words on Issue 3! Just putting some final touches on 4, and having fun doing it (all the heavy lifting is done...phew). Hope you will dig!

At the risk of inflaming myself, here's my latest idea on T configuration;
PJGDWJL7
http://www.porsche-code.com/PJGDWJL7
Bang-on $112k, which is depressing considering no PCCB, nor LWBs. But I think Miami Blue would make all those dark grey T-specific elements really pop. Subtle it's not.
I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be back to plain ol' white. Feel free to critique!

Thanks all for ideas, to Australia, bose is free as well as PLDS.
The choice between MFSW to GT sports steering wheel, diagram is same right??
Also, I'm thinking about PCM now and you guy are right, reversing camera is important, potentially save lots of money in smash and repair. No hurts on $0. Also bose is free, so no way I don't pick that stereo if I tick the box for PCM.
