Burnout possible with PDK?
Fairly random question, but I’m wondering if a burnout is possible in cars with the PDK?
I have a 991.2 and haven’t been able to make it happen
FYI, this is for use at the drag strip to heat up cool tires

in regards to heating your tires at the drag strip, have you tried the launch control on your 991.2? there is no need to heat up your tires. your car has launch control down to a science. if you are looking to get fast 1/4mile times, i suggest you just use the launch control and automatic shifting, minus traction control. every launch is a beauty. if you are doing it just for the fun of it, then more power to you

No burn out but in the Start Box of a Snow Cross, tires just spin and spin.
I learned to flip the upshift paddle repeatedly until the PDK decided to shift to a higher gear.-Richard

When burnouts go bad.....

My first car was a '69 GTO. I went through a set of tires AND a clutch in 10K miles. Rev engine to 5k, remove foot from clutch and burnout ensued. Repeat many, many times on deserted road then later at drag strip.
My father threw such a fit at the dealer they replaced the clutch and all four tires under warranty (he wasn't with me in the car ever and hadn't observed my spirited driving). The week after I traded it on a '70 Etype roadster in 1973, the differential fell apart on a test drive at the dealer (he called me to let me know).
As fast as those cars seemed at the time, most couldn't beat a minivan in a drag race today (my best time was 14.72 and I wasn't a horrible driver).

IMHO, it is not worth the effort to read the manual to know how to do it. Now, having said that put me on a road course in a 911 and I will show you what the PAG designed this car to do.

911's aren't JUST road cars, what's wrong with having some fun at the drag strip every once in a while?! I've done a 11.5@120 bone stock, so not to bad for a non drag car LOL
Only reason I asked is because I went for the first time in over 6 months this week, and although it's cooler out (70s at night here in FL), it's not like is that cold. I could not get ANY traction this time out using LC, and spun all the way through 1st and half of 2nd gear. I wanted to see if I could help things with getting the tires warmer, but maybe it's just time for new rubber all together. I've got just under 11,000 miles on the factory Pirellis
