Default Question on a new order item

I have a question about ordering that I would think others have likely faced. It is regarding ordering the multi-function steering wheel in leather. The order is for a GTS coupe.

The standard wheel is the GT Sport wheel in Alcantara. To get that same wheel in leather, you have to choose the GT Sport Wheel in the options list ($0). The problem is trying to order the multi-function wheel ($470) in leather. The only multi-function wheel in the Interior options section is in Alcantara. There is just no way to get the multi-function wheel in leather to show up on the configurator renderings unless you select both the GT Sport wheel and the multi-function wheel, which the configurator allows. If you do that, the rendering on the configurator changes to leather on the wheel.

My order was copied to the official Porsche ordering system exactly as I turned it in from the configurator. When I saw the order sheet today at status V200, it showed both wheels on the list. I asked the salesman if that was really the proper way to get the multi-function wheel in leather, because it didn’t seem to make a lot sense to have two separate & distinct steering wheels ordered.

He admitted he did not know, but would get the answer for me Monday. My only concern is that I end up with the proper steering wheel that I want, which is the multi-function in leather. Being kind of OCD about things like this, it is driving me crazy thinking about it, so I thought I’d ask if anybody here has seen the same issue when ordering. Can’t wait until Monday.

I would like to know when you find out. I am trying to make the same thing happen for my GTS spec.

I think one changes the wheel, the other adds the MF buttons.

How is your interior configured? Leather? GTS package?

Ive selected leather, GT wheel and MF, and believe they are both listed on my build sheet.....don’t have it handy tho

I've got the same. Leather interior, GT Sport wheel, and MF wheel are on the build sheet. With both selected, the interior renderings show a leather wrapped wheel with MF buttons. Hopefully I'll have this clarified tomorrow, and will report back.

I may have stumbled on the answer, which is that both steering wheels listed on the build sheet is correct. While reading a different thread I saw this pic of a COA below posted by Boulder Mike. Both steering wheels are clearly listed.

My sales guy says they are both to be listed for you to get a leather GT sport wheel that has the multifunction buttons.
The GT sport option just gives you the smaller diameter leather wheel that looks so cool.
while the mutifunction option listed gives you the additional control buttons/heat.
It seems confusing to have both listed, but that is the correct way to order.
