If offered a GT3T should I walk away from my 991.1 GTS 7spd?

If offered a GT3T should I walk away from my 991.1 GTS 7spd?
I talked with my SA who thinks I am high enough on the 'list' to be able to order a GT3T early next year. If they offer me one at sticker, should I bite?? My current car is a '16 GTS with manual tranny in Carmine. What I would be getting is a 500hp engine, 6 speed (which I think is better) along with the suspension upgrade, and no back seats. Interestingly, the torque delta between the 2 engines is only a little, but the price delta will be about $75K with our tax screw here in California. I love my car and it runs like a tank now. Would you make the switch??Its funny-we always want what we don't have....

Until it’s in your garage at MSRP, I wouldn’t think too much about it. From all reports, all allocations have been handed out to dealers.
Most sales guys will make promises they can’t keep.

To your question though, I would go with the GT3, but it's purely a personal thing.

I just did same analysis and decided against GT3 with Touring Package since it’s still turned primarily for track. My 991 GTS is the best P-Car I’ve owned and plan to keep it until the new car for “driving purists” is released.

Sure about that? Many, if not all, of the sponsoring dealers on Rennlist and many others have indicated that they've been told by Porsche that all of the .2 GT3 allocations for the entire run have already been given out and there aren't expected to be any more, save for a few random pool awards.

My cleaning lady (actually GM at P dealer) said they do expect more allocations for 2019 builds--he didn't guarantee it, but said he expects some. Time will tell.
To the OP, it's a great question and one I have considered myself, as I consider the next possibility either a GT3T or .2 GTS, assuming either/both are available.

It’s one of those things about how much cash you have to burn right??
Value wise and the common sense decision would be stay with a GTS. $75K++ for near minimal performance upside on any practical street driving may not be worth the cash layout.
Everyone’s situation is different. For me, trying to be ambitious and aggressive with investing/business prospects that kinda cash has better uses and much better return than a depreciating asset.
Economy takes a dump these cars will follow. Get an accident CarFax ding on GTS or GT3, there’s a quick $10K+ hit as well.

GTS is a nice car; but, a GT3 is something else. A GT3 @ sticker is off the chart something else.
Take it.
Lest your remaining days produce the agony of that old song: "God, if only I'd taken that deal."
