Aerokit wing mod?

What did this guy do? Remove the wing and leave the stubs?
Slightly less aggressive taco chip look. I kinda like it.

This is the "Turbo/Turbo S" model rear spoiler. It goes up/down too. Different design than the Aerokit Cup Carrera one.

Doesn't work on the Carrera models.
