911..991...991.2...however you want to call it, these truly are amazing machines
Just wanted to share a couple "unremarkable" iPhone photos to show a remarkable car. Still sometimes have to pinch myself that I'm lucky enough to drive this car, and daily at that. Not many other cars could do a daily driver this well and still make it quite an event every time I get in the car and start her up.... I'm always looking back as I park and just smile. Even with the turbos, the 991.2 specifically has been amazing. Long live the 911 and hope its success continues through the 992 and beyond. Added a couple pics of my old man's 993 that we picked up in LA and was one of the best trips we had ever done driving it around LA and up to SF.

Thanks I feel the exact same that the base .2 engine is already too fast and I love the wide body and light bar. Somehow the build really works IMO with the all grey/black look, even preferring the grey calipers on the base to the red upgraded ones on the S. Ironically enough this was just on the lot at Porsche of San Diego in Spring this year when I was ready to buy, and it was only by surprise that I saw it there. Turns out it had just about every option I wanted and didn't have the others I didn't want so it was meant to be.

I love the rims. Photographs don't do them justice. When you see them in person they are a wow.

Great cars, and I know exactly how you feel. One of my favorite things about the 911 is it doesn't try to hide the machine that it is. It has that forever feel to it and is a timeless design. I'm generally a new car guy, with little patience for older cars. A Porsche just feels like it gets better with age.
Enjoy the C4, they are rare as hen's teeth.

I learned to drive on My Moms 1971 914 when I was 15.........got my first Porsche last December (GR 991.2 MT, 20" P101 matte black) and can't wait to get into it every single day. I drove it about 4000 km/month this summer. I spend at least 90 mins washing it twice a week .........LOVE doing that too. Amazing.

This.
I feel it's one of the best 911s Porsche has ever made (yes, that is really saying something), and just happens to hide behind a "normal" badge on the back. A lot of people will miss its brilliance for that reason alone.
And, nice spec! Love the silver with those wheels and no sunroof. I debate sometimes on whether I'd rather have GT Silver or PTS, especially for the difference in price.

Yep, for the .2 these rims were a MUST for me!
C4 light bar is just freaking awesome Especially over the .1 C4 as I feel the light bar integrates better with the taillights. So cool to see lit up at night.
Thanks!!

I love the spec too! What's funny is if I ordered it myself it would have been 99% the same, I got so lucky it was just sitting there at Porsche of San Diego when I was in the market to buy. At the time, I think I could only find 4 other C4 Coupes for sale nationwide!

It's very nice to see someone so happy and enthusiastic about their new 911. As with all car forums, the bias on the web is always heavily leaning toward the negative. I love my .2 T4 GTS too. Looks, fit & finish, power, performance. All great. I even think it sounds good and plenty loud with PSE despite all the opinions around to the contrary (I'M NOT INVITING ANOTHER DEBATE ON THAT!!).

There are much bigger problems in the world than .1 vs .2 and in both cases they are amazing machines. Same with 993 vs 996, air cooled vs. water cooled. Hydraulic steering vs electrical. Etc... It's different strokes for different folks, and the .2 package in its entirety is great. People bore in on the turbos, but the GT2 and Turbo have always been fantastic 911s.
