100 Cell Race Cats & Exhaust Options
So Ive been searching as many videos of the various exhaust setups that are available for our cars to try and decide what setup to go with.
Im not particularly impressed with the PSE in terms of its aggressiveness, especially on a 991.2 GTS. The exhaust is just so tame and quiet, you can barely even hear it over the road noise from the PZeros.
Ive run a bypass pipe and the PSE on my 991.2 C2S, which really increases the aggressiveness and wakes it up. The only issue is the odor that the untreated exhaust creates when I have clients (and my GF) in the car.
I was wondering if anyone running a HJS 100 cell race cat? It doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of options when it comes to the cell count on the available sport cat options.
Does anyone have experience with them, I've heard mixed reviews in their effectiveness and longevity when compared to a 200cell HJS.
Im literally only concerned about the smell being eliminated from the exhaust and the cat not falling apart or becoming fouled during its life. Im just wondering if I am barking up the wrong tree with this endeavor.
I am looking to have as few restrictions as possible and pretty aggressive exhaust note, but no catless smell.
Any input appreciated!

I don't have any experience with 100 cell cats but I am running the fabspeed 200 cell cats and they do not smell on idle and normal driving conditions. During a cold start there is a smell and when driving behind the car on aggressive throttle input you can smell the exhaust fumes. I can imagine the 100 cell to be pretty similar to my experience...

HJS HD 200 cell catalysts flow very, very well and are quite durable - that's why they are the go to choice for the majority of exhaust companies that cater to Porsches. Their unique metal matrix and high quality materials allow them to flow just about as well as a straight pipe while still scrubbing good enough to prevent any check engine lights. Cat bypass pipes make their power advantages really known on tuned cars.
You liked the sound of our Trackback Turboback Exhaust - maybe we can incorporate a set of catalysts into them to get you the best of both worlds?
