Professional job, looks great, but have never had the stuff. Not sure about
care and feeding? Long term ownership?

I would buy a car with Xpel, and I have in the past. It's a good product and it does a nice job of protecting the paint. Keep in mind that it's not impervious; you can still get stone chips in your paint if a big enough rock hits your car. Also, it's not a lifetime product. After 5 or 6 years, paint protection films tend to look worn, peel on the edges, etc. You'll need to replace it at some point.

XPEL is a fantastic ppf. If cared for properly, it will last years with excellent gloss and clarity.

You'll want to find out how it was cared for. If you cannot find the history of the maintenance, than it simply comes down to your assessment. If it is slightly hazy or has small hairline swirls and scratches, then it's up to you to address it...so, buyer beware.

If you have photos of the car with the clear bra in direct sunlight, that would help me see what relative condition it might be in.

Forgot to mention, he said the whole car was done, and it's black.

I would definitely buy it. Saves you money on wrapppng it yourself and knowing the paint is in tip top shape.

Without a doubt. Even if its a crappy install - it will still protect. Would not pay "extra" though.

I bought a CPO C2 in July 2015. The Xpel looks like the paint. I'm a fan. (black car)

Maybe it's just me but I'd expect it. On a 6 figure car it seems appropriate. I'd still inspect the condition of the xpel.

I had the whole front end done on mine and even went as far as having the vorsteiner carbon front lip done as well.

Thank you, really appreciate the input, wish me luck.
Didn't really want two black cars(993, 991), but oh well.

My clear bra is extremely worn and full of rock chips. Do I car? Nope paint is perfect underneath and I'll replace the wrap next year after a few track days!

Btw you people say shouldn't buy the car if it has a messy wrap...hello! It's an extra option and means the paint is perfect under neath.
I think expel adds to the cars value.

Umm, it's a huge bonus.

My car was bought with the entire front, door handles, door edges, and lower rear bumper (behind the wheels) wrapped with 3M. I don't even like wrap "plasticizing" the paint and the wrap has some rock imperfections and is even peeling at the fender edges, but I don't care. Not sure how old it is, but it still looks perfect in terms of clarity, and means the paint is in better shape than it would be without. Even the little dots I can see with a microscope, or a couple tiny rock cuts and such don't matter.

With my Macan or an SUV or 4 door, I wouldn't get wrap. Would rather have the paint exposed in all its glory, save thousands, and touchup when or if needed. But the 911 is so low that you constantly hear debris chatter. Unfortunarely, makes me think wrap is a necessity.
