Pilot P4S tires
I also find the P4S only marginally quieter than the PZero N0. They pull the same 1.29 Gmax on an offramp I have taken hundreds of times but I have no track time so I can't really comment on at the limit handling. Over some specific sections of rough pavement they are definitely less harsh and turn in may be slightly better as well. At first I didn't like the look of the PS4. Something about the the way the outside horizontal tread groove extends into the sidewalk or possibly because the P4S have a rim protector lip on the rear (Pzero N0 had one on front only) but after a few weeks I'm cool with them.
Sorry guys but when I asked Tire Rack about the PS4S they told me they are not Porsche approved? (non N rated) Or maybe he meant for my 997tts, but they might be approved for the 991? I really wanted to try them (I just have a flat on my PS2S and thought about changing to those). And on that note... the dealer told me to just replace the flat PS2S and keep the other 3!!! It seems crazy to me, however I would think it's in the dealer's interest to sell me 4 tires (or 2) rather than 1??
IMO both OEM PZero N1 and PS4S inspire confidence at the limit. On my car the PS4S seems to have slightly more steering responsiveness and slightly less midcorner understeer at the limit under neutral throttle on my 991.2 C2 MT, both of which I prefer.
Today on a good backroad run, PS4S gained F/R 10/9 psi from cold to warm. I stopped several times to reduce pressures back to the range F/R 32-33/35-36 psi.
TPMS warning appeared on the latter part of the drive even though the current warm pressures were entirely reasonable. I guess TPMS figures the pressures would be too low when cold, which of course is correct. The small TPMS warning indicator is not annoying, but on several occasions a TPMS warning message would fill the MFD, which required a manual dismissal. This repetition is very annoying.

What was the load rating on the P4S tires - typically for the 991 - Porsche spec tires whether they be P Zero, Corsas, Trofeo Rs and MPSC2 have 91 front and 103 rear.......weight distribution. On road this may not matter, on track it might.
What was the load rating on the P4S tires?
PZero N1 front (91Y) 615 kg
PS4S front (95Y) 690 kg
PZero N1 rear (103Y) 875 kg
PS4S rear (103Y) 875 kg
PZero N1 treadwear front and rear 220
PS4S treadwear front and rear 300
PS: A somewhat abused (skidpad) PZero N1 front:

Different load ratings at front, different construction and thus different behaviour. As I noted above, every tire recommended by Porsche whether it be a vanilla P Zero, thru Corsas, MPSC2 to Trofeo R have the same load ratings 91F/103R.......
