40K Service
Just received a quote from German Auto Specialists in Plymouth Meeting Pa. Great price of just over $1300 with me supplying the oil. they are a bit far from me but they did my GT4 short shift install and overall check of my vehicle and did a great job. They will use the Porsche 40K checklist and include brake flush.
Much, much better than what the dealer wanted from me. Great to have solid Indies nearby.

I have an INDY that used to race Porches professionally and then opened up his own shop after he retired from it. Not my 911 but he just did the 40k service on my 981. $771 which included all parts and labor. It did not include a loaner. I walked down to the local pub and had a beer and lunch instead, while I waited. It also didn't include a wash and a vacuum.
Oil change
Spark plugs
Cabin filters X2
Engine Filters
Brake flush
This is simple stuff. The dealers are a rip off for anything that is just routine. Why pay a high priced highly qualified and trained mechanic to do an oil change? I don't get the dealership's business models.
They need to have a graded approach to assigning techs to maintenance work.

I had mine done at Trophy Performance in Las Vegas, they charged me something like $650 in labor and I provided the parts which were around $350. Dealer was probably $2k. Also got a discount on exhaust install since the bumper was already off for the service. $1300-1400 seems reasonable enough.

What Indy subshooter?
I have my personal mechanic who has worked on all my cars who I trust (he did extensive work on my lotus to a high standard -- guy is a savant), but it would be nice to have someone near the other house too.

They will check the belt as I only have 27k on the car should not need much more.

I just performed the equivalent of the 40k service on my GT3 (We do at 10k) . Here was the cost:
6 plugs - $143 - Time 45 minutes
Two engine air filters - $69 - 15 minutes
Rear bumper cover removal and install - 45 mins
Oil change and filter - $80 - time including drain wait time and protective plate removal and install - 1.3
Cabin air filters -Frunk & cabin - $60 - 15 mins
Brake Flush - Motul 600 $34 - 1 hr
Total cost = $396
Total time = 4.3 hrs
None of the above work requires any special tools beyond a basic set of box wrench's; sockets, including Torx and Etorx and a Motive bleeder.

Great work, 991carreradriver! Factor in that dealerships charge approx $200/hour, and you can see how the tab quickly becomes a +$1,300 job.
I recently paid $1,500 and that included an early seprt belt change, so, I'm quit happy with my 40K job.
I'd also imagine you're a $200/hour kind-of-guy, so net-net, you're in-line. With the added benefit that the job is done right, the first time, and the pleasure of putting your hands on the car.

Here's one clean and one dirty air filter.
