I have had headlight washers on my last three 911's since 2006. I've used this option "0" times. I'm not even sure I could turn them on now.
I have a 991.2 GTS on order and could have added them painted for $300. I opted to leave them off as for me, where I live, they serve no useful purpose and I don't like the look. The XPEL guy will be happy too.

I believe most work so that if your headlamps are on and you wash the windshield, fluid is squirted out of the headlamp washers. If the lights are not on, no spray.
I like the look without them, but a little early to trade in my car.
Collectors will be snapping up the few 2018 cars with the washers. Another 911 tradition lost...and the weight of the washers no doubt contributed to balance and steering feel.

No doubt to all of that! Better change my order again!
They come on every 10 times or so when you spray your windshield. If you don't live in a winter climate they are fairly useless. But for me they make a huge difference in getting salt and slush off the lights so they can do what they are supposed to do.
Washers (or wipers) used to be a NHSTA requirement for xenon lights. The reason iwas supposedly because the heat absorbed by a dirt covered lens can crack the lens. I suspect that rule has been eliminated because lens technology has evolved.
Still on Canadian cars, which I’m grateful for. I think washers are great and important when driving in rainy/snowy weather.
I would actually pay extra for the washers.
On my 2017 the dropping the headlight options to eliminate the washers would have cost $500 more to get auto mirrors. When I placed my build the sales guy changed to the package and said he saved me $500. I did an a la carte to eliminate the washers. I let him win but still don't want them.
I have a 2019 Turbo S ordered and my SA told me no headlight washers as the washers are a Europe spec and there are no 2019's for Europe so no washers. I am fine with it, actually happy about it.
Eric
Sounds like you all figured it out, but for clarity headlight washers were removed on 2018 Carerra's with exception of 2018 GTS, Turbo, and Turbo S models.
Nick Murray talks about this in this video beginning at 0:28:
I can confirm Nick is correct. My 2018 GTS has the washers and the 2018 Turbo S that I did European Delivery last month also had them.
