I just can't see Chubb being worth more than the regular companies. You have a claim and they pay (or not, but that is contract law). It's not the equivalent of vehicles where there are differences in build quality. Insurance is a scam generally speaking. The only people who have enough of it are those with money and they should all self insure from an ROI perspective. But that is me and I don't carry much insurance. It makes no sense to me I have to pay what I do when most of my cars go 1000 miles a year. There is no real added risk. Yet regulations prevent insurance companies from properly pricing risk (anti-redlining etc.).

I have USAA. I called them after this thread to make sure I would not have an issue with a car costing over $100k, No issue at all. My 991.2 arrives later this month.
I've been with them for 26 years. Their quote for my 991.2 was $457/6 months with a $1000 deductible. My 981 with them is $402 and my wife's RAV4 is $374. We both have one minor ticket and good coverage.

Me personally, I've found their rates to be competitive.

I just got a Geico quote after reading this thread. We have a Cayenne, 991 and M4 and Geico was $350 more expensive than my similar USAA policy. 1550 vs 1900. The only difference is geico maxed out Medical payments at $10000 of coverage, and I have $75k with USAA

I don't usually comment on these boards, but feel compelled to chime in. I had a 997 cab that was insured by Geico and was totaled in early May (I was rear ended). It has been a nightmare and still isn't fully resolved 3 months later.
On OEM parts - They did try to make me use aftermarket parts initially for the repair and I worked with the auto shop to push back on them and eventually they caved in. They also tried to get by with re-used parts - essentially a bumper etc from another Porsche.
Agreed upon value - It took over a month but I was able to negotiate a slightly better value on the car, but I was very close to going to arbitration. I had to escalate my case 4 levels up to the NA VP. It was a long, frustrating process. I'm Ok with the final valuation, but not happy with it.
There were a bunch of other little issues I had to constantly fight with them about, such as 3 days of storage they claimed they weren't responsible for ($375). I had to file a claim with the bureau of automotive repair to fix that one. It's just one example of many I could give. If I hadn't spent a ton of time fighting them on every little topic, I would have been shorted at least $5-6k
Bottom line is that you get what you pay for. My accident was May 9 and I literally resolved the collision claim this week. The medical claims are still a huge mess and I am sure it will take another 3 months to come to a conclusion there.
On the positive side, I know have a 991.1s cab....
