BMC Air Filter on Amazon, 991.2

The beauty of these type of air filters is you can wash them out and reuse them over the years. However in order to do this on a 991 is that there is so much you have to take apart to even get to the air filter.
I bet most 991 owners won't change and or clean the air filter nearly as often as they did on previous year models of 911's

The OEM air filter after 17000km
So I got my dealer to install the BMC air filter for me today, it took almost 2hrs as the design is now more complicate than the .1.
So the noise is a bit louder and deeper, very noticeable when in sport +, no change in performance as expected, at least I can't feel any. Basically it's a change of the tone of intake/exhaust note.

Installed the BMC filter in my 991.2 this morning. It was somewhat of a job, not difficult, just tedious. I'll post a write up with pictures later today or this evening.

I got the Amazon deal last Thanksgiving. $140, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I Dont think a filter can do much other than change the sound. For $310, no thank you. For less than half, I said sign me up!

Epic pic, thanks. I never realised the red wings hung out. Nice. (I don't want to alarm you, but your ECU is missing : )

Thanks. I started working on the writeup with pics, but here on the east coast it's suppertime so i'll work on it later before i go to bed. It's not a difficult project, but appears intimidating at first (especially with all of the tubing), but really it's not.

I can't seem to see your ECU in that pic : )
