Try to grab a few pictures along the way and share them with us! It's okay if the car is dirty. They'll make for some nice memories!

If you are going by way of Grand Junction, I did find a nice do-it-yourself car wash there. I understand you may go another way though.

Edit: I hunted it down just in case. It is at 691 Horizon Dr, Grand Junction, CO and is called the Horizon Drive Car Wash. It's not too far out of the way and is better than most DIY washes. It has basic cleaning supplies available too, towels etc.

Woke up before dawn and made it on time to Durango for breakfast. Weather is so so and truck and rocks... not good. Good news, the car had a clear bra! More pics soon.

I bought my GT4 from North Houston. Good group.
When are you passing through Salt Lake City? I live northeast of SLC but might be able to tag along with you for part of your journey or, if you have a little extra time, take you on a detour through some of the local twisties and then back to I-15. PM me if you have an interest.
Best of luck on a great trip.

That car wash was great!
Made it to Salt lake in time to pick up my buddy Tony who is joining me for the last 2 segment of the trip. Had a great dinner at Under Current. Very good.

Headed to Bend Oregon this AM to see my dear friend Jody and his 993 4S.

Here are more pics. You'll recognize some of the spots!

Made it home safe and sound. 3000 miles. 10-12 hours a day in over a 100 degrees at speed. The car did not break a sweat. That's the beauty of our cars.

Thank you all for the support and advice through the trip. I only want to go out and do it again!

Thanks to Porsche Houston and Zac at Autoquest in Seattle. Fantastic to work with.

A few more pics!

Congrats! I bought my Cayenne from Tino when he was in new cars. Nice guy. The new dealership is awesome. Too bad I was away or. Would have swung by to say hello.
