I try and always use non ethanol whenever I can. I'll stick to good old reliable and good for the engine.

For reference:

The big downside is the fuel goes bad fairly quickly and the car has to be set up to handle it (I am not an expert, but I would think all the lines etc. are ethanol stable in a 991.2), but as I noted if you tune for e85 you can make more power than gasoline, but I have not seen anyone pursuing it recently.
Non-ethanol is simply not available anywhere near me, and my cub cadets hate me for it.

Wow are some people behind the times here.

He said "1/4 the price of a gallon of fuel". I assume it's price related?? Make sense?
Porsche looks like they're behind the times I suppose.
I'll happily stick with my "really behind the times" NA 3.8

He wants to run E85 because it is bargain race gas. Not only do you get a huge octane benefit but in a direct injected application it produces compounded cooling effects. Oh, with a cleaner burn to boot.
You just simply don't know what you're talking about. It's not about money but performance.
Regarding running ethanol, the stock fuel system will support it but with a tune it seems there are already fuel limitation issues. I'm developing a methanol solution for this reason.

I'll stick with my dirty burn

You have a direct injected motor so the same principles carry over but hey, whatever.
Those of us who would like to discuss the 991.2 fuel system with ethanol maybe should not have 991.1 owners interjecting without any info on the topic.

big turbo builds run E85 for a reason. more power, better cooling.
e85 can even run on a car like my 997.1GT3RS Cobb has a TUNE for it and the fuel pump/ system and injector workloads can handle it. AND you get power similar / better to 100 octane at 1/6 the cost.
Yes, but, consumption is faster than regular gas due to the energy density. About 30% over 'gas'.
Can you run E85 on a 991.2? You'll have to check with aftermarket tuners.
