Simple but it says to only change once as clips won't hold up to multiple changes.

Super easy -- you remove the existing trim and replace:

Right but more important is choosing the right installer. You don't want to see any exposed PPF edges. Stay away from the dealer.

I ordered the 2 colours seen in my pics.

BTW, they are only $9.15 US each, but if you order 5 or more you get another 5% off.

Cheaper on Amazon - see my first link - 8.50, prime. No need to go to Alibaba.

OK sure, but not worth getting my shorts in a twist over 0.65C...

Also shipping restrictions to Canada make Amazon a royal PITA!

There are two Porsches between me and the wife so that's 4 identical fobs to keep track of (and if we mix them up then the seat position she saves to her keys really hurts my knees) so I ordered 3 of these from Amazon in different colors. One of the 4 fobs will stay black - I haven't decided which one.

Will update with my impression of quality and fit.

Just did mine couple days ago. Ordered from Amazon.ca and arrived fairly quickly. $15 or $18? Can really remember. Installation took 10 secs, just find something really thin and slice into the gap on the edge and twist, it'll come off.

I'm a bit odd, so I ordered different colors from 3 different sellers. They seem to all be quite similar and probably from the same manufacturer.

Here's some links to fake carbon fiber variants:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CKR5IWK/ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CKR5IWK/

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MCS7ZBG/ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MCS7ZBG/

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XQDYTQ6/ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XQDYTQ6/

They all seem to fit okay - not quite as smooth on the edges as the Porsche provided ones (there's a bit of an edge you can feel right beside the lock unlock buttons) - but they are all acceptable. Easy to install.

My wife likes the CF look, so her Macan got that trim

I ordered the grey metallic ones on Amazon. Came in yesterday and I put them on my Macan key. Looks great!

I'd agree they must be from the same manufacturer in Asia, perhaps China? The edges definitely show some roughness compare to OEM ones, but for the price, they are totally acceptable. Dealers sell similar accessory for $115/set Canadian dollar plus tax, just insane IMO.

Since I ordered too many as an experiment, I've now got an extra gray, silver, and carbon fiberish one that I can either return - or I could just share 'em (it's same amount of effort for me either way).

So... if anyone in the continental U.S. wants one of these - and is comfortable sending me your address in a PM - then do so and I'll drop it in the mail. No charge.
