Dancing with a McLaren
Early last evening, I went for a nice summer night's drive on some of the country roads in southern Wisconsin. As I was heading back home south, getting on the interstate, and started moving over to the left, coming up in the far left lane was an orange McLaren, what looked to be a 570S. I paced him, looked him over, moved up and let him see me. He tucked in behind me, then I moved over to let him go by so I could follow. He started to gun it then, blips into the low triple digits (great sound from his exhaust); we've got a little bit more HP and torque than the 570S's, it was a nice feeling not only keeping up but gaining with ease. We played for a few minutes, then parted company with a wave when the highway split. The McLaren is a beautiful car! Now I'm tempted to see if I can get a test drive. Great fun on a summer evening....

Great report. I thought the 570S was supposed to be slightly quicker, in the 1/4 and especially from a roll? Good to know at least the 991.2 TTS can gain on it!

Chris Harris did a nice comparison of the 991 TTS and the 570S. In a drag race, the 991 TTS is faster to about 100 mph. After that, the McLaren pulls away.
