Interesting to hear your comparison of the .1 GT3 and the .2 Turbo. It is certainly a different animal. Looks like you'll be sitting pretty till the .2GT3 comes in though, I wonder what your wife will say at that point. Perhaps she'll just keep the Turbo?

Well, the proof will be in the pudding when my Turbo comes in. Different animal, indeed. I'm really excited about the Turbo, never had one, but was impressive in test drive. Should be fun, and yes, worried if "she" decides she really, really likes it!!

Having driven a GT3 and knowing I was going to be using it often, the Turbo S was much more appropriate for my situation.
One major plus in the Turbo column is the back seat. It's such a huge plus as I have 3 young children and often take them with me to give Mommy a break. Just got back from an 800+ mile boys weekend road trip and no complaints from my 11-year old in front and 6-year old in the back...ok, the Ipads helped, lol.

This thread keeps putting a smile on my face and fills me with anticipation for my Monday scheduled test drive. The car I'll be testing is an exquisite Carrera White Metallic TTs with the Aerokit and if I like it as much as I expect I will, it will be mine by the end of the day. The almost universal description of a car that is fast, comfortable and fun to drive seems a perfect fit to what I hope to find.

I promise better pics if it follows me home, but here's a teaser (from the dealer's website):
(And for those curious - I already have clear side marker lights on my existing 911 that will get put on this - rather quickly too I might add!)

you know they have newer LED corner lights? A little more money but nicer in my opinion. (If you don’t already have those)

I'll miss my baby which was one of the best performance cars I have ever driven. It will be exciting however to move on to the 2018 Turbo S. It's a ways off but as always I will enjoy reading the posts of those who have the car and for those who post their new pics.
Good luck on your new Turbo S.

I also did a pre-trade of my 2010 Porsche Turbo today along with the extras I had in terms of the wheels and painted aero-lip. I don't have an exact build date yet, but the dealership did place a request for an order. Your car will be here before mine. What color and options did you highlight with the order?

Very simple car as far as looks..... white, with painted lower rear fascia and side skirts, door handles in gloss black, thought this was different, model designation in black, sport classic wheels, they are light weight, and that's about it. Very basic build. I plan on lowering the car, installing my roll bar and six point harness and OEM GT2 drivers seat, GT3 pads, Cup 2's, and then taking it to the track. It is a lot of car that doesn't need a lot of embellishment IMHO.
Two questions I have. One how do you like the glass roof. No creaks or unwanted sounds? And two Do you have concerns lowering the car with the aero-lip?
I just officially received my allocation today. I will more than likely go down on Saturday to finalize my order. I'll keep you posted.
