This genius figured out a solution for all Porsche's 2005 on to use the new multifunction.

Pretty cool. However I don't think I would want to use this aftermarket part. Too much risk. What if it overheats and catches fire. It doesn't look like a professional grade product.

Really, what part doesn't look like professional grade? To me they look like OEM parts. The 991.2 didn't add any functionality to the steering wheel, so it's really just mating the correct wires to the correct connectors.

I would be very interested in doing this if the genius will list the parts required and the steps to do it!

you can buy that if you currently have the 991.2 non-multifunction wheel.

either way you will need the 991.2 / gt4 /macan steering wheel for that malfunction trim piece on eBay that you have linked to work properly.
