Default What are exact mods and power estimates for a stage 3 car?

Hey guys just curious what exactly a stage 3 Turbo S is. I was thinking as follows.

Flash tune or cobb
Exhaust
intercoolers

Am I missing anything? Also what type of horsepower numbers would a car like that have? If a stock turbo s has 560hp I am assuming a stage 3 would have around 650hp?

Also if the same mods are done to a 991.2 Turbo S figure about 20 more horsepower? Thanks for your help

Hey bud,

When we helped develop the Stage 3 with Cobb we were able to find what helped us extract the most from the car. On the OTS maps Stage 3 is the next step once intercoolers are installed. Stage 2 is basically an exhaust. 3 was tuned with flexibility to run different hardware. The custom tuning aspect of the AP allows us to dial in for specific hardware recipes and do a little better.

Our By Design Stage 3 consists of the following and makes up to 30 more hp and 40 more tq:

- By Design/Cobb Tune
- By Design Billet 4.5 Intercoolers
- IPD Y-Pipe and Plenum
- By Design/Kline 76/70mm Exhaust
- Kline Equal Length Headers

Hi Sam, so what would the estimated power be with a set up like that? Thanks!

On our Stage 3 we get...

93 Octane 560/675 hp/tq to the wheels
100 Octane 580/675

On 6speed there is a write up on it with dyno's and video!

Hi Sam and thanks for the info:

I'm planning to modify my 2014 Turbo. Been Stock for to long now. I've been modifying my M6 for the last couple of years, however now its being offered for sale. The m6 has 740Hp on the wheel courtesy of Exhaust, downpipes, air filter and a tune.

How can we modify the turbo to reach such numbers:

Initially I thought of installing the below:
- De catted Exhaust
- Headeres
- Intercoolers
- IPD Y-Pipe and Plenum
- Tune.

I will be running 98 octane fuel all the time. How much do you think i will be able to make hp on the wheel. Im trying to reach between 650 to 700 HP on the wheel.

Let me know what do you have in mind.

Thanks !!

Hi there. Do you mean on the Canadian 98RON fuel? You need turbo chargers and race fuel to make 700 to the wheels. It starts to get complicated especially with different pump gas octanes and their actual motor octane. Feel free to give me a call next week and I can go over the details with you. There's lots available we just have to match it up to your goals and what you have available for fuel

Green is Stage 3, with cats, on 100 octane (VP MS109). Brick Red is Stage 3, with cats, on Oregon 91 octane.
Regular red is Stage 2+, with cats, on 100 octane, blue is Stage 2, with cats, on Oregon 91 octane.

I'm sure you feel the 30-35 hp difference between 91 octane and 100 octane?

It defintely hangs on longer as the revs climb. Until about 80mph is feels the same, but after that it seems to pull at higher speeds better.

Seems in par with the dyno charts, thanks for sharing!
