GT3 bumper on a turbo??
Just was curious if it is possible to swap on a gt3 front bumper to a turbo? I'm sure many will hate the idea , but personally I love the look of a gt3 front bumper over the turbo bumper. Just more aggressive looking.

Great looking car. What type of wheels are those? They look 20 inch.

I'm looking to do this on conversion on a 991 turbo S, any tips? Would like it coded etc ( have access to PIWIS)

It is a great look. Would need a lift.

I've always wanted to do this but wondered if there's irreversible work to be done (cutting & shapping of the fenders, hood, etc.) that would cost my firstborn child to reverse or significantly hurt the car's value in the future. Besides the bumper, are the other parts replaced with GT3 parts or are the turbo parts molded? Also, since the air dams are much bigger, does the amount of air caught hurt performance in any way?

It requires a lot of work. It’s not just the bumper. The airflow changes, radiator, electronics etc. You need a proper shop and it’s a significant expense. Depending on what you are seeking it’s worth it or a complete waste of dollars.
See attached he’s some pics https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...2590719c3.jpeg 991 Cup radiator mod https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...b7833f0c0.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...1aea66654.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...ad0568e68.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...1d41122db.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...263714513.jpeg Lots of small parts where needed in addition to plane bumper https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...b7e87caca.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...8fbfcec74.jpeg |

- GT3 front reinforcement plus tow hook (this is what you see on that pic) - Additional side running lights - Grill outlet and grill retaining frames - grate inlet and retaining frame - hider air outlet - GT3 Cup front splitter - GT3 inner splash shield - GT3 R&L inner splash shields - GT3 Cup breaker router and brake ducts - GT3 lower brake ducts - GT3 cup center radiator - GT3 cup I let duct hardware and hoses Plus a bunch of mislenaious hardware. Additionally had to install the front cup fenders in order to make this work. Quite a bit of parts needed on top of bumper. See finish product https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...b9b6db5bc.jpeg |
Wow! Looks pretty good. A lot of work I am sure.

Do we think that because the GT3 works - that the GT3 front end on the Turbo S will be just as aero-correct? Are we hurting the performance on the Turbo S by changing to a front end it was not designed to have is my question.

I just bought a 2014 Turbo S and right next to it was a 2015 GT3. I drove both but decided the Turbo was a much more practical car to drive around, and I already have a Cup car for the track. Not that the GT3 was bad to drive, and the front does look better than the Turbo, but another thing to consider imo is I wouldn't want to try to drive around town with an air dam hanging way down without a front end lifting option on the car. Not sure how hard that would be to add.
