Thanks everyone. Karl911, good luck with your R8. Great looking cars!
The color takes on so many different shades depending on lighting, angle and distance. Sometimes dull gray, sometimes more blue. Looks like a solid color from a distance, but you can really see the metallic in it up close. Here are a couple more photos to show my point. And the grip is phenomenal. Look at it climbing the wall!
After all, there is no such thing as bad publicity! Unless you'd choose any other car over a Porsche as your favorite.
I've loved Porches since I was a child, so for close to 60 years. I've talked several of my close friends, who were ardent fans of competing brands, into switching to Porsche, and they all get it once they drive one for a while.
I was traveling for work the last two days, and now that I'm home, I keep finding reasons to go to the garage to stare at it. I keep pinching myself. It's really mine!
You clearly have an addiction problem. May I suggest you go see a therapist? Make sure you go with your beautiful TTS, though. And chose a therapist located some place where you have to take a twisty road for your sessions.
Congrats. Car looks really nice. funny how that grey takes on such a light shade out in the daylight whereas under cover/under artificial light it looks quite dark. I think I prefer the darker hue actually....but nice either way - different. A change from the usual color choices you tend to see.
Great post. love the new color. Have not seen that before. You should still consider the 458 or get in line for the 488. Both are sublime and while fiery and Italian as you note, they are easy to tame. I HATE to say it but the 488 makes the TTS feel slow mine in a 991.1 however and I hear the 991.2 is a faster car)
The caveat is that my driving senses are really screwed up. I picked up a new 2016 X5M yesterday and while driving home I thought there was something wrong with it. "where is all the damn power I heard about" of course 570 HP for a 5300 pound SUV is bound to feel slow compared to the nearly 700HP of the 488 or the same 570HP for the 3600 pound Turbo S....
