Great build. Add active cruise control. Works awesomely well in stop and go traffic. I do an 80 mile round trip commute every day from Staten Island to Garden City in mega traffic and when I use my 991 TTS to do it, I love the ACC

Sorry, disagree....Adaptive cruise is worst option ever! I hate it....drive 100+ mph then have the car slam on brakes while coming up quick on a car in front of you without you touching pedal? I had to clean my drawers the first time it engaged!? I'm a traditional cruise guy I guess....?

Yes. I don't use it in fast driving. I use it for stop and go which is my every day commute to work

Thanks sdg1871. I'll definitely consider that option. Now if I can be really convinced on the CMW vs GT silver...

Have it in my Jeep SRT; hate it; never use it. Also has forward crash protection - which if you're an aggressive driver, can kill you. Turned that off too. Fortunately, it isn't an option on the 911's.

I will not be happy if I take delivery of TTS with anywhere near that mileage!! I don't want the dealer to be using my car for other peoples test drives! Any thoughts??
Not to stray off topic too much but did you own one of the previous generation V10 model and 6 speed manual?

I would pick GT Silver. Less of them around than the white ones. And they stay looking cleaner longer

What are people getting off sticker(turbo s)? Most I've been offered is 5%...Also, have people heard anything about allocation? I assume it'll be much easier than gt3 or gt3rs as they are mass produced.

Seems like 5% is the norm, which was all my dealer would give. A few say they have gotten up to 8%.

Yes much easier to get a turbo than a gt3 and WAAAY easier than to get an RS

Tony, thanks for giving Brian's contact info. I just ordered a 2017 TTS from him for the same discount you got. I am going with Miami Blue.

Yes, he was very honest and told me it will likely be July/August. He said he will not get an allocation until your car is ready, which he said will likely be in the April/May time frame. Is that what you are hearing as well?

Swore to myself I would not order or purchase another sports car until the 94 928 GTS and the 50th were sold. Well, the GTS was sold a few months ago and a fellow RL'r flew in from the west coast today and picked up the 50th on Sat. Coincidentally Brian called today regarding the 50th for sale because he had a customer interested in it. While I had him on the phone I asked about ordering a new TT and his response was that that allocation is now filled and the soonest I could get one was Sept. You really did me a favor because I really need to finish up the 80 LS3 928 build and decide to sell or keep. Trying to downsize at this time and trying hard to get it down to one fun car. Very glad it worked out for you and look forward to seeing your new TTS. T
