Crap. If those were steel I doubt they'd pass tech.

Will be curious to see what you find out. 25 track days is a lot

Holy ****. Not bad for 25 days. Yes they're toast and I guess gen 3 Pccbs are not made from unobtanium

They certainly look like toast... interesting how the material is peeling off the rotor. This certainly can't be good...

No doubt you do. I have already replaced my pads. It's part of the cost of tracking the car.

This is why some people take off PCCB's and replace with steel for the previous generation TT's and GT's, per the thread over at the other board....

The rough edges certainly look bad. Could it be that wheel mounting/dismounting caused the damage? Why does the dealer not have the correct measuring device for the composite rotors? I am told that the best way to preserve the rotors is to replace pads at 50%. I had my rotors' condition measured with the Proceq measuring device before the season started and after three track events when I had my fluid changed and surprisingly they showed extremely little composite deterioration, like ~2 percent from new. Three track days and about 9000 road (non-track) miles. The frequency and duration of track days as well as the course, driving intensity and frequency of pad replacement are significant variables, so 25 track days may be a lot or a little regarding rotor condition.
Would definitely need to know rotor carbon state before replacement.

Just got back from Champion Motorsports.
Here is the story. Champion Porsche (dealer)had a density tester, they told me to make any appointment for Wednesday, quoted me $350. i then called Champion motorsportst told them to borrow the tester from their parent service department. So, they got the tester when I showed up.
Tester was brand new in the box never used. Mechanic read the directions, and it was really very simple to use. Three mark numbers on hub, all numbers were below allowable limits.
Basically they are TOAST!

Have 30 k miles on car 25+ track days, i have no clue to how many track miles?
Anybody have experience with Race Brake in Fullerton ,CA??

The edges look damaged, did someone tell you that was from usage? Is this really what normal wear looks like?

When you say 25 track days, is this 4-6 20m sessions, or longer each day?

When you are on the track, do you do 140+ then brake down to 70 each lap, or is this lighter usage?

I see a lot of people at track days pushing their top speed each lap on the main straight, I have never seen the point in doing this, you are just goin to burn off the speed using your brakes at the first turn. I have more fun in the turns, who cares about you max speed....

I always do a mix of hot lamps and leisure laps.
My pads are always glazed after a track day.
