Hehehe........I understand. That is about the only thing negative about the way the 911 is made, IMO, is our inability to see the engine bay. I always liked opening the hood on my Corvettes, Vipers, Shelbys, etc to see the engine.

So I went out and got the oil. I really like those bags so I got another one for my detailing spray and MF towel.

Also we finally named the Porsche. It is Heidi. Kind of was a family decision and I let the kids help. We wanted a hot German lady name and of course my kids came up with Heidi Klum. I did not argue as I waited with baited breath to see what the wife would say. She liked it as well so Heidi she is.

It's a great day and I needed to share with you all. So the wife and I are out camping with the kids. I am of course going through withdrawls because the Turbo is at home under the cover. As I am sitting here of course I am talking about how in love I am with my car and asking her where we should go on a drive when we get back home.

All of a sudden, stars aligned as fireworks are going off for the fourth she says "I would like my next car to be one of those small SUV's we saw driving down the rode" I reply "you mean the Macan" she says "yes". For the love of the Porsche logo my wife is hooked, she has been bitten by the shield.

So it gets better. Our timing isn't until December or so of 2016 (her car will go to our kid). Then I bring up ordering and Euro delivery + vacation. Holy cow she was all over that as well.

So excited that we will have two P-Cars eventually in the family.

Happy 4th and thanks for being a part of my experience.

You're a helluva photographer. Some of those pictures could have been used for Porsche's brochures. Subject matter helps. But, skill shows.

Well thank you but I really am just an amateur weekend hack I like to think some good equipment really is doing all the work. So far all my posts have been just what I shot. I am trying to learn Lightroom a bit more but nothing has turned out any better than the original shot.

Default Spirited drive today

Well this morning I got the car all washed up. I try to do it early as we are in a drought "allegedly" so I don't want any pissed off neighbors.

Then it was off for a cruise on Ortega Hwy over to Tom's Farms for lunch. Got behind a bunch of slow cars so we used the turnout to stop and snap this little photo.

I kind of thought the turn outs were for slower cars

As I was waiting for a bit then a nice little C63 AMG came flying by. I decided to pull out behind him get into his GoPro video (if they were turned on) and we had a nice spirited run through the canyon. It was a blast.

Lunch and then brought Heidi home to get cleaned up and go under the cover.

I just love this car. It is such an amazing machine.

I will continue to share the journey. Will really be through pictures as I do not plan to modify the car any so she will continue to stay in the stock form.

This is really my outlet. I can't share all these great stories and tales with folks from work. It is really my secret life outside of work. I work in a really funny industry and having a really nice car especially one north of $100K would be frowned upon. They would think they are paying me too much, it is very old school.

Maybe in the future I will get into the detailing I do for the car. I have been getting into that a lot more as well. Probably just because I don't have a good detailer that I would trust around plus I really enjoy doing it myself.

Default Teaser

Well when I am not enjoying driving the hell out of the car on weekends or doing PCA fun events like the goofy rally we did I have been working on a proper resting place for Heidi.

Here is a teaser. Next weekend I will share all the before and after pictures of her new home.

It also didn't last long. I mean keeping the car stock. I think I have decided to go with some Techart springs. Still doing some research and trying to find a proper place to touch my car.

Default Heidi's bedroom

Well my car needed a place to stay that was at the same level so I decided to take on a project, the garage. It was a mess. Older part of the house and without tearing it down to the studs I did what I could to make it respectable. Cleaned it out, demo, paint, flooring and cabinets. Enjoy the picture story.

Default Springs

Well I stated in my first post that I would not be doing any modifications. oops, I lied. I got a great deal on a set of TechArt springs and I was getting tired of all the gap so she went under the knife yesterday. I was a little nervous.

Thanks to Eric at Supreme Power in Placentia for taking care of my ride.

After driving it around a bit this weekend I will report on the ride. The ride home was no different then before. Felt the exact same as stock.
