Why less activity here than on 991 GT3 forum?

Funny but this thread really hit home for me. I'm a long time Ferrari guy and have a 2014 Italia I got in the spring. FChat has tons of posts each day on the car that has been out since 2010. It's full of great people, young and old, who are enthusiastic owners. This week I almost bought a GT3 but felt it would be too close to my Italia and I wanted more of a daily so I bought a new TTS which should get here this weekend. As such I joined Renlist to get the same tips and tricks etc since I've only had one Porsche (A Panamera) in the past but it's funny how few posts there are on the turbo. It is an interesting question for sure...

In so far as the lack of present activity here, it is early days for 991tt. Keep in mind 997tt section is still hardly a hive of activity and still only sees spits and spurts of activity in comparison to 997GT3 sect.

Burning Brakes
It is simple, 80% of GT3 owners track their cars. It is about passion!
Where TT owners are like exotic car owners, drives car 3to 5k per year. It about ownership.

As an exotic owner as well (I have a 2014 458 Italia) I will tell you this explanation is wrong IMO (sorry) Fchat is very busy; all makes and models. Even the FF which is a 4 seater Ferrari AWD family GT is crazy busy....

Are we over-analyzing this?
Maybe we are just busier than F and GT3 drivers? Also, it's winter so I'm not using my car so trying to ignore it for now. Most of us are probably reading other blogs anyway (that's why we know this one is less active).
Plus -- the car is really good. How many times can we all agree that this is a good car? I have not yet weighed in with my impressions of the car - will do that after I have played more with it. But, I don't have any complaints (yet) -- everything worked find on my shakedown 2,500 mile break in trip.
oh... by the way -- should I change the oil? or wait till 1Y/10K miles?

Perhaps I'm an outlier
I drive my 991TT every day. I just cracked 10k miles (just over ~10,200 now since Feb 22). The first oil change was completed last week. I've driven it on the track at every opportunity that the local PCA chapter has offered.
In spite of a top speed so far of 151.6 mph I'm obviously not driving it hard enough (yet??) because I still have 4-5mm of tread left on the factory Pirellis and 9-10mm of the original front brake pads left. My New Year resolution is to get closer to the edge of the envelope
With respect to activity on this board, I'm new to the Porsche family as this is my first of the marque. I perceive a great deal of experience and expertise hereabouts which obviously I can't match...that means I do sometimes hesitate to post.

Really?
Not sure how the debate about the 991 TTS vs the 997.2 TTS got into this thread though. I believe that the Porsche designers and engineers will keep improving on the 911 concept, despite the inherent impediments of the rear engine layout.
On a late flight home now so enjoyed reading the lengthy repartee in this thread.

I'm at 13.2k miles in about a year, 3 track days so far, and on my second set of summer tires (running sottos for winter). There is no better year round snowbelt DD that you can track, IMHO.
