Is there any current info on whether or not we will see the so-called 991.2 facelift at the LA show in a few weeks? I saw a thread elsewhere that the 991.2 is now slated for the Frankfurt show in September 2015?! That seems like a long delay in showing this update. Any thoughts?

My hunch the 991.2 Twin Turbo at least two years out. They need to rollout the traditional 911's first, then progress to the TT/TT S.

Good point. When do they typically roll out the regular 911 MY2016 upgrades/updates? Shouldn't that be soon? Don't they switch over to MY2016 ordering around March/April 2015?

I have no inside info, but my thought, the 2016's will most likely start production in June 2015. Correct, should be able to get allocation to order in the spring. For paint to sample, those dates will not be released until the spring.

I've been told a very similar story by a main dealer, I have no idea whether they have inside info or just an educated guess. He said min eighteen months.

NO dealer has inside info, as a matter of fact they are usually the last to know anything about any of the cars they sell.

I think the argument that NO dealer has any idea is based on the same assumption that a dealer DOES have an idea... i.e. They might know or they may be talking BS.
