Default Turbo S vs. McLaren 650S (German)

With 90HP less and 200kg more weight the Turbo S is up to 250km/h forward and than the 650S play out his more Power...followed by engine failure.

Everything done right Porsche .

That video is marked private.
Here's the same acceleration side-by-side from a rolling start at Thunderhill.

You can also watch the 918 getting thoroughly embarrassed by the P1 in a straight line, fwiw.
Porsche needs to rethink what they're doing with the 918, it's just too heavy and it's an aerodynamic brick at hypercar speeds.

Those 918 owners that have an abandoned airport behind their house are going to be pissed. On the other hand, those that live near the Nurburgring or any race track for that matter, will be quite pleased. What was the P1's Nurburgring time again?

but the comment above about 918 aerodynamics and power rings true in this comparison. If it actually is deemed official it is a call to action for Porsche. Wonder why Porsche did not turbocharge the 918?

The most profitable automobile manufacturer in the world needs a "call to action"? As far as turbocharging goes, I guess they figured a NA engine with electric augmentation provided sufficient power and better sound, but I'm not here to second guess the engineers of such a successful company. They have proven time and again that they know what they are doing.
