Default Lock date slipped

Several weeks ago ordered '15 turbo S cab. Lock date was suppose to be 6/15 and build slot date 7/22. Emailed dealer the other day to confirm order locked and they said it's now slipped to 6/28. Is this common to slip lock dates? My first Porsche so I don't know if this is normal. Dealer said it was and he had no idea the reasoning.

That is surprising since mine moved up. About to receive my car almost a month early.

It probably has to do with the model year 15. I didn't think those were available until Aug or Sept.

Dealer emailed me yesterday, lock date moved out again. Now 7/1 with ETA of 10/17. For whatever reason they are moving out the turbo S cab orders it appears. Was hoping to get it delivered before factory shuts down in August but with a 10/17 ETA now it appears that won't be the case. Order placed on May 20th according to build sheet.

Question, typically how much after the lock date is normally the start of production?

Mine was locked April 28 and is being delivered to dealer this week. So 2 months from lock to delivery.
