Very Nice..I have a garage like yours...What did you do,take the garage door opener out and you open the door by hand? See you did it on the single door side ??? Who did the install on the lift for ya ??? I have a new Turbo S and have also been thinking about adding a 458 to the toys..Do you like the 458 ???

How tall is you garage ceiling ?????

Thanks...

08 Viper,
On the single side, the garage door needs to (almost) hug the ceiling when it opens - we used a wall mounted opener by lift mater. So this is not done by hand...
The lift was installed by one of Bendpak's local rep - best you ask them when you buy the lift as they have favorite installers.
We built nifty closets (I will try to post another picture later to show) and the lift hydraulics and raising and lowering mechanism is hidden then - so you don't see any clatter.
IMHO the 458 and the Turbo (now S) are whole different cars - the 458 is full of drama attracs way too much attention and has way more emotional brings a smile every time I drive. The Turbo S a technical marvel feels uncrashable and low key.
The Turbo is my DD - I love it for the fact that only car enthusiasts know if for what it is so I can take it anywhere especially in white.
Good luck in your quest - get a 458 - the best car ever.

Awesome garage. Why a single post as opposed. To a 2 or 4 post lift? Also, how tall are your garage ceilings? Thank you.

The Garage Height is 10 Feet (We built a false ceiling to make it lose nice so wasted a few inches there.
I like the single post lift as it gives a more open look to the garage and easy access - less clutter.
Here are some pictures when the garage was built a few years ago at that time I had a 458 Coupe and Turbo 997.1 - one very cool feature is that although it was a pain we put mirrors on the cabinets where the lift is - you can see the cars drive into the car - puts a smile on your face and also great to see if you are hitting anything.

1Gunner,
I lucked out on the car - found a perfectly specced at my local dealer whose sales manager I know for years.... they did the thinking and I got a great car.
BTW - 200 Miles in the car - really started appreciating the car - the Torque is awesome - the car sound very good for a Turbo.
I have to take it on the track it is begging for it...
Confidence is huge - many times since my Turbo is my DD (previous one also with PCCB) - when I drive my 458 I get a few scares as it seems that it is not stopping when I need it to... because the Turbo stops on a dime.

The wood trim goes well with that colour interior.

This was a very sensible build specced by the dealer - the only option which cost real money they chose was the Burmeister which by the way is spectacular.
The mahogany trim is a 'Free' option.... so is the leather etc...
If I had built the same car I would have spent at least 10K more of unwanted options...
The dealers know what they are doing as they build the cars on speculation and take the risk.
