Default Lease Advice

Hey everyone-

New member here! long time BMW M driver but I may be making the switch over to Porsche soon! I've recently visited my dealer, who has a Turbo on the lot for $162k.

I love the car, so I wanted to ask your advice on the numbers:

The offer is a 36 month lease, 7500 miles, 5k down for $2850/mo including tax.

Does this sound reasonable? Would love to hear your thoughts!

That's not very many miles for 2900$.

I used to lease b/c I felt it made swapping cars easier. If you feel like a lease is a good solution to your needs, then I'd aim for $2300/mo w/ 10k miles or $2500 / 12k.

That said, if you can, buy cash and get into a rolling rhythm like swap every other year. It makes the cost of ownership deceptively low. (For cars of this nature)

Just my $0.02

That sounds too high. The Porsche lease numbers (for 36mo and 7500mile) I received from my dealer were 57% residual and 0.002 money factor. Using those lease numbers and assuming 6.7% sales tax...I get $2448/mo. I would ask your dealer for the actual lease residuals and money factor they are using...

Yes, 6 mos ago my dealer was trying to talk me into a tts, and quoted much better #s. I would only lease one of these cars, too costly, too much depreciation, unless you buy outright and change cars frequently. (Guilty)

Does anyone know what the residuals are for a Turbo S Cab for 24/27/36 months on 5K miles on a 2015? Thanks.
