Default Do you track your TT or TTS Cabriolet?

Just wondering about to pull the trigger on a Cab but I'm doing some homework about the tracks and there are still some tracks that won't accept the roll over protection in the Cabs.

Have you guys had any issues getting on the track? In particular on the East Coast? I know VIR is out, what about NJMP, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio?

Thanks

Jeff

I drove my 997 C2S cab on the track extensively at 4 different tracks (Calabogie, Tremblant, Mosport and Watkins Glen) without any issues. YMMV

That car did prompt me into buying a GT3... so be very careful!!

BTW I'm now back in a cab.. with no immediate plans to repeat what I did with the C2S... But never say never!!

When I contacted Mid-Ohio a couple years back, they told me that convertible requirements are up to the club running the event.

It is interesting

VIR doesn't allow cabs without fixed roll bars
Summit is ok
NJMP has to have them fixed or deployed
Lime Rock has to have them fixed or deployed
Looking into watkins and mid-ohio

Those are the only tracks I would do and i plan to do all of them over the next two years..so maybe a cab isn't in my future.

I agonized over coupe vs cab, but in the end, the desire not to be locked out of potential playgrounds forced the decision to go coupe.

Here in the uk I never heard of that problem..if you have roof down a full face helmet has to be worn..or open face with roof up...

No, too much other stuff going on this year. The plan is to do that next year, probably after a few days in Birmingham driving Porsche's cars.
