For whatever it's worth to any of you considering a GT-R, I owned a 2014 for one month. The transmission noise at low "neighborhood" speeds, which really sounded like something was wrong, was intolerable. I failed to do my research in advance to discover this well-documented issue. Fortunately I had a buyer and lost only $10,000. This would be an absolutely outstanding car for the money were they to just figure out a fix to this one issue.

My son has a '14 black edition and I've driven it a couple times. Yes very low speed can be annoying but at speed or accelerating it's not an issue. Awesome car for the money!

Nissan added a bunch of sound proofing insulation for 2015. I've heard that they've really quieted down all the drive train noise and they've also softened up the suspension a but so it should be a much better daily driver.
