Interesting read. Looking at a M4 with the roof issue and it is the opposite way with the CF roof and I think it does look better..everyone talks about the weight off the top etc.

On my Cayenne S I wanted to avoid the pano roof bc of these issues and just found one that had a sunroof so I was happy. would have taken it either way as it was a really nice build.

I was looking at a friends 991TT white with pano roof and I thought it looked really nice. Anyone have the weight info btw the steel and glass roof? I'f prefer myself to have a steel roof with sunroof like on my 997TT.
I'd prefer my PTS to flow and have a classic look, which doesn't include a black top.. If I went with the top side I'd like the Targa look for an open driving feel/ or cab.

Although I don't use a sunroof a ton, I'd still get one (glass or otherwise) for resale and to correct buffeting. The glass sunroof appears to be immensely popular, so for only a little bit more than a regular sunroof, it seems like the obvious way to go.

Still loving the glass roof/sunroof on my TTS, except not driving with the roof open in the day lately, as it has been really hot. Aircon until the fall. But at night it is open.

Personally, I don't like the two-tone look of the glass roof on a non-black car. I got a metal roof so I'd have a sunroof, and when closed it would match the body color. Both break up the lines of the car when open, but it's worth the fresh air and when I'm inside, I can't see how it looks anyway. IMHO, for fresh air, it's much better to have a sunroof on a coupe than the heavy complicated targa mechanism.
