it's the first change i've made to all three of my cars. i don't understand why they don't make it standard out of the factory.

ordered my led's today from suncoast, can't wait for them to arrive. the amber just doesn't look right.

Question: are the taillights on LED equipped cars the same as non-LED cars?
I mean why stop at headlights and side markers....

I think all the 991 variants have LED tail/brake lights. Even the rear license plate light is LED.

Well, clears are European and I think the LED offering just came out for 2014.

Yep I know, but was referring to side lights in reg and LED at 3x the cost, which now lots of folks with the regular lens' will think.. Gotta have LED lens'... aka Porsche marketing 101!

For all you young'ins, clear side markers used to be stock on cars 20 years ago. The big deal then was to 'get modern' which meant to swap out the clear ones for amber ones. Now we're going retro with claims about clear one's, 'its a cleaner look'. I've owned 5 models of porche and ferrari and never notice the difference. Reminds me of folks opting, once again, for big hair and shoulder pads. Well, at least they think they look awesome.

The yellow ones that come with the car are LED and the clear have the yellow bulb..I had the dealer put the clear ones on before I departed the lot.I think they look way better than the yellow..Did same on 997 TS...

For the vast majority of cars, it is objectively a cleaner look. By that, I mean it reduces the number of colors presented to the observer. All 991s have silvery bits, which the clear LEDs match. But very few 991s have amber bits, so the amber originals clutter the visual field by introducing a new color that doesn't tie to anything else.

Installed mine today. Just J is right about reducing the number of colors presented creating a cleaner look.

Looks great on the Amaranth Red.

We got our most of our shipments in the last week or so and fulfilled all backorders, so inventory is starting to open up now.

Not decided yet, though.
When I order my Turbo Im getting rid of the Turbo marking and just getting the optional 911 put in it's place. Further will remove the Porsche name plate after receiving the car so that the only thing that remains is just 911!

Too Bad they kicked Amaranth Red to the curb. Do you have any explanation as to why Porsche did this Eric?

Like I said before, now I'm going to have to PTS my favorite Red on a Porsche of all time; Arena Red! That color looks so perfect on the old 993 Turbos.

By the way, my Avatar is the Turbo S I configed with Amaranth Red. But when I go back to look at my configuration, the one in my avatar, it serves it up as white. Reminds me of Ice Blue Metallic on the 997.2 TTS. How many of those cars got sprayed Ice Blue?
