Tts vs Gtr

I'd like to see a repeat on a dry track. With intermittent rain, hard to come up with any meaningful comparison. Obviously whichever car has less water on the track during the run has an enormous advantage.

Agree, although one car may may do slightly better than the other on a particularly tight the circuit though due to weight differences. It is interesting to see the latest TTS is only managing a few tenths better mindful this is Nissan's current car. However, given the ring times of 7.08 for GTR's next flagship vs TTS's 7.26 the next comparison between these two may not prove so close I suspect.

The TTS is so much more of a complete car across the board,...body control, steering, balance, braking, styling, heritage, desirability....everything that was mentioned is still true.
Man simply does not live by numbers alone. You can strap a rocket to a pig, but then all you have is a fast pig.

It looks like Porsche is a pretty big sponsor of Auto Express. On the 'GTR Life' forum, it has been said that the GTR is not being pushed as hard, and it looks like a valid point.

November Car Magazine article / review / video doing the same comparison. Noted it in a separate thread before noticing this one. Oops. Essentially the same conclusion, time wise, but also, in their opinion, GTR more engaging and also mentioning the GT3 as "better than the Turbo, by far".

Going to have to chime in on this one a s a multiple Porsche Turbo owner and a current owner of a 2011 911GTS and a 2014 GTR black edition.
The GTR is a great car...it might not win a beauty contest but I kinda like the look of it. I have driven 8k hard miles on the GTR many through and canyons of Los Angeles and I am very happy with the car. The new 991 turbo S seems to have gotten ridiculously expensive. My GTR with exhaust and a few mods has costed me about 117k. If your a performance junkie it is currently the best value.
I would probably agree the current NA 911's are the way to go and I do have a GT3 on order.
