Default 2014 911 turbo front spoiler repair

Well, like in previous threads, I know a lot of you had the warning at 76 miles an hour spoiler warning, and slow down the speed so I have a Fidelity Warranty so I took it in a Porsche in Marin county and after three or four days they finally agreed to fix it, which was great
Final bill was 2307 labor and 6875 for the spoiler assembly
I had to pay $250 deductible, but I am totally ecstatic would’ve fixed it myself for a lot less money, but it did save some time and effort so way to go Fidelity. Those guys are great to work with.

Congratulations on the extended warranty win Mike! Very familiar story from our other Fidelity extended warranty customers.

That's why I'm going through them for mine here in the next few months as my CPO is set to expire! I actually use my front/rear spoilers since I track my TT, so it's a good thing those will get covered.

Normally, the warranty company will reject the claim if there is any sign of scrappage or aware or damage to that spoiler area, but apparently mine did not have any of that

I'm sorry are you saying they would have charged you 10k to replace it out of pocket!!?

Something like that, yeah. Has not happened to me but I have read countless stories on the Turbo(S) front spoiler and dealers don’t seem to do any component or part replacement … full assembly each time and they suck at diagnosing pump vs sensor issues too.

Even with a discounted part at suncoast it is still a $5k part, sans labor.

Damn!! I'm just finishing up rebuilding a salvage 991.2 and needed to replace the front bumper, but somehow the lip survived and was reusable. If I would have had to replace that it would have blown my budget wide open! That's crazy. Can't really find any used either. I'm assuming you could just bypass it, and route the pump tubes back into each other to avoid any lights, but sheesh. Thanks for the heads up!

yes, that is correct but I would not have let them done the repair for 10 K. I would’ve repaired it myself by.
1 patch the bladder with tire repair kit free
2 replace the bladder and front spoiler lip $1700
3 Replace faulty valve at about $150 each

I just had my handwash guy put some nice gel and clean up the front spoiler and other trim bits real nice, so I guess I need to keep doing that! It needed a good wash, as normally I don't have the front/rear spoilers extended during a wash, but I will going forward.
