Default Wing malfunction

I bought my car in Feb and have put about 5400 miles on it since purchase. The car now has 62K miles on it. Its a 2014 TTS. I never really understood the wing function, in sport plus both wings deploy normally and when just pushing the button they both have worked up until now. One thing that never has happened is them to go up when hitting 75-80mph like many have described in other posts. Now when I hit those speeds I get the error lost wing. If I manually put them up when I hit that speed I get the error and they go down. The bladder in front is holding pressure fine so I am thinking it has something to do with the rear wing. Is there a way to recalibrate them to maybe fix this issue?

The rear wing only goes up one inch at 76 MPH. You can't see it in the rear view mirror, but if I lean my head down I can see one corner of the rear wing sticking up, on the door mirror. it is completely hidden with the wing down (below 76 MPH). The front outer sections of the front spoiler, inflate at the same 76 MPH. The center section inflates when in sport+, additionally the rear wing goes fully up Visible in your rear view mirror. Sorry, I can't help with your new problem.

I randomly get this as well. Maybe once a month. Slow down, speed up again and no issues. Wing and bladder are fine. Just every once and awhile, especially when accelerating fast from 60 to 80+ it is like rear wing doesn't go quick enough up and errors. Accelerate slower and never an issue.

Overall a non-issue for me besides being slightly annoying sometimes.

Thank you for the description on how its supposed to work. I guess mine was working properly before. I'm gonna have my shop scan it and clear codes to see if that resets it.

If you are getting the wing error code when both the rear wing and front air spoiler deploy and then your rear goes down here is my opinion of what to look for. I just went through this for over a 2 month period of testing to determine the cause. I have a 2014 Turbo S.
1) check your front air spoiler for any damage, possible bladder damage
2) check hose connections to front spoiler bladder
3) check front frunk power unit for front spoiler

I had my Indy do the diagnosis and my issue turned out to be the front spoiler power unit. Problem with using the dealer is their answer is replace front spoiler $7k, replace, replace, replace. Front control unit is around $2k from a good Porsche Indy.

That -^

The “front control unit” is compose of the pump, valve gear, and pressure sensor. The latter has been the culprit for cases where the wing and spoiler deploy manually, but the MFD error appears at the ~72 mph “pop up speed.”

Back in the day, there was only one part number for the whole thing. Now the pressure sensor has a part number.

Someone(s) on this board did some forensics and posted their results.
