I just picked up this beauty on Friday.
2015 29K miles with full service records. My last 911 was 996 , 20 years ago. My last sports car was AMG GT Spyder. Anyways I am more than happy with my choice. The exceptional build quality and how comfortable the car is for a daily drive unlike AMG GT. Now I remember how special 911 is. It doesn’t look too fancy or draw attention which I like but it is as capable as super cars that I need to drive at 2MPH over the speed bumps.
Honestly, I never considered getting a black car but when I saw it I fell in love immediately. This metallic black shines nicely.
Yeah I hear ya. I owned a black 91 RX7 from '99-2004 - could never keep it clean for more than 5 minutes. After 20 years of white cars since then...a black 991 TTS looked too good to pass up...
This ceramic coating thing didn't exist back in 90s !
Absolutely on point. Ceramic coatings are game changers in keeping black cars clean because very little sticks to it. I too swore I'd never own another black car about 10 years ago after owning a number of them
My 2014 TTS is close to your twin with the exception of the interior. I think I've only fully hand-washed it 3-4 time in two years. I use a CR Spotless water system spray down and blow-dry every 1-2 weeks. It takes me about 15 minutes, and it looks amazing.
