Default Anyone here messing with ThinkDiag

There is allot of discussion surrounding this on the 991 forum. Has anyone used it on their Turbos?

The only thing I had coded on my car was to show boost levels higher than the stock 1.3 bar (not through ThinkDiag, but I'm guessing it's the same functionality). The dash now shows all the way up to 2 bar or 29 psi.

Yep. It’s been working great for me..coded the following:

- GT3RS Steering
- Chrono Clock Always Lit
- Guages and Needles Always Lit (Scandinavian Mode)
- Real Oil/Coolant Temps
- Emergency Brake Flash (Flash on hard braking)
- Higher Boost Guage (up to 24 PSI)
- Comfort Windows with key fob (Up/Down)

Still trying to find the following:
- DRL 100% with Headlights On
- Neutral with 2 Paddle Pull

What value did you use for this?

Emergency Brake Flash (Flash on hard braking)

I had one, returned it... I probably would have suited my needs in the long run (and for $80 pretty good) but was missing some features other more expensive scanners had. Plus after the 1yr it's useless unless you pay to reactivate it, which I wasn't a fan of. Don't want to be in a pinch or trying to use on a buddy's car and find out I need to pay fees for a couple min of actions.

Tell me more about "GT3RS steering".

There’s a PDF in this thread. It has the break down of the coding values to turn it on and adjust at what G/Speed you want it to flash.

This was my favorite one.

Makes the steering feel more precise and stiffens the steering wheel across all speeds.

Real oil temp? I was under the impression that we always got real oil temps ... only the coolant temps were filtered?

Am I mistaken?

When coding the “real values” it allowed me to do it for oil and coolant in the cluster configuration.

The oil values didn’t match just like the coolant values.

My assumption - it didn’t show the real oil temp values.

I would be keen to see where you changed the oil mapping, several people have looked for oil temp mapping and found none, and the same have confirmed that the oil temp on CANBUS, match the oil temp gauge. Any chance that you found oil Pressure vs Temp curves?

This is literally the first I have heard of it, and I have read eveythjng here on coding and the lengthy thread on 718 and planet 9.

I seem to recall the 718 thread on planet 9 or maybe here that someone figured out how to do 100% DRL w/headlights on .. I went the opposite direction and found a way to add DRL disable to my MFD so I could turn off when I wanted. It appears under exterior lighting options in MFD now.

Try this for DRL with Headlights:https://www.718forum.com/posts/300814/

IIRC You can’t get DRL w/Heqdlight on to work properly with PDLS+ only with PDLS. Apparently the DRL blink with PDLS+

Is the neutral paddle pull a specific year model function? My 2019 already has this feature.

I am not sure on this. My 991.2 TTS had the 2 paddle pull for neutral and it would stay in N even after releasing the 2-paddle pull (glide mode).

I put a pdk map from cobb in place to get higher clutch pressures to support the ~27-28 PSI of boost I now run, and the Cobb PDK map changed the behavior so it only stays in N as long as the 2 paddles are held in place. That leads me to believe that this function is in the PDK not some other module. I prefer the glide mode rather than constant paddle pull N mode... wish I could have both the higher clutch pressure and glide mode.
