Still good deal and if they are decent may get a set.

Just had my HREs refinished, and that was $2200 just to refinish them. Gotta go pick them up this week and toss them back on.
And local to you, so may be no shipping fee. Good luck.

Quote I got was $12k these were $3k because they were my second set, and I did a photo shoot with them on my M4.

Just contact VT Forged, he owns a 991.1 GT3 RS, also he offers all his wheels in centerlock or lug bolts. My 20" wheels for my M4 weighed about 21lbs.

I know this is a Porsche forum but this is my M4 with the same wheels with lug bolts, I had these finished in brushed gray. Mine is the Java Green M4.

Edit - I understand now that $12k was the quote received on the BBS FI-R….

I think he meant he was quoted $12K for the BBS, and he got a promo deal on the VT Forged because he was a repeat purchaser, and they used one of his cars in marketing materials.

It does sound like the delta between the BBS and VT Forged is probably much smaller than we originally thought..

That is how I read it. That he got quoted 12k for BBS, and paid 3k for these.

I got quoted 9995 for BBS and these appear to be around 4k for a normal person.

Yes, and that's still a great deal, assuming the VT Forged are as light or lighter and assuming equal quality.

Just my $0.02, but the idea that VT Forged are as light or lighter than BBS, or even the same quality as BBS, seems very unlikely to me. I know this - I would never pay $4K for VT Forged wheels expecting them to be equal to BBS in any way, but... that is a hell of good price for very similar looking wheels!

True, all of the assumptions I made are unknown. I suppose I could have expressed it better by saying if they are close on those parameters, 50% less than the BBS would be a hell of a good deal.

BBS is a legend in the motorsports world and has been for decades. Thus, it's not surprising they command premium prices.

Nothing wrong with trying a new vendor. $4k isn’t chicken feed. Plus allows to change more often without serious regret. Hope they are really nice please post pics and opinions.

I have the same wheels on my M4 and they weighed 20lbs for the front and 20.5 lbs for the rear. The finish on them I would contest is better than BBS, I had RC's and CH's before and I thought the quality of the finish was just ok. Are they BBS, no but they look fantastic, are strong and have an excellent finish. Hard for me to say BBS are worth 7k more.

I agree.
I bought a set because I got an absolutely fantastic price but I'd look at wheels like VT Forged in a heartbeat if not for the FIR's in my garage.
