Even when you go with a full frame turbo or something like our Stage5 that has really high efficiency (“By Design” the Stage5 is as efficient as a full frame XR on pump gas!) the next obstacle After intake, temperature and octane is fuel capacity. So in a lot of cases, it is being used as supplemental fuel. The risk factor goes up as you push further down that path. But of course it can be done in so many different ways with so many different strategies to keep safety in place. Even at the really high horsepower levels. Lots of experience has made it pretty safe.

I will say this and it may help a lot. Let’s get a pump fuel that will make over 700 hp to the wheels, pretty conservatively and efficiently… Without any changes just turning methanol on can give you up to 50 extra horsepower. That’s the safest way to do it
I am consistently amazed at the staggering drop in Intake Air Temperature with Meth. In real time, I'm watching my IATs with the Cobb tuner and I'm stunned to see a 50 degree Fahrenheit difference between ambient and what is getting into the motor. Even if the gains were minimal, I would want the Meth as a safety feature. But the gains are absurdly high and supplemental fueling never hurts either, and then there is the safety feature too - it was too many positive factors for me to ignore considering the high humidity and temps in south Florida. The stage 5 turbos are another level of game changer and this thread with customer experiences is just awesome - thanks again OP !!!!!

That's the part that gets me. Personally, I think the most telling part of the Stage 5 story is when the torque arrives (looks like it's at least as early as stock turbos) and the awesome trap speed achieved.

this is really cool, I sent you an email Sam, have some questions but thinking this is in my future.

Sam is the man. He's fielded so many of my silly questions. He just finished doing my 992 TTS and I couldn't be more happy.

Were you on the Supraforums? There seems to be a few of us with the exact same story. Had Supras...sold our Supras...didnt mess with anything really and then got Porsche TTs. Now much like the supra world I've been sucked back into trying to build the "large frame 80mm, 3.4 liter stroker" setup for a Porsche. Sadly though for me I have to sit and wait.

Your car is making some great power, congrats on that, Its a beautiful setup.

One more guy from Supraforums on here. Same story. Heavily modded mkiv 6 speed, didn't mess with anything really and then got the P car.

Great numbers and glad you are happy with the kit. Sam is great to work with and always offers to help and sort any issues that may come up.

Funny thing is after the supra I got a e36 m3 and it was a major let down power wise. I sold it and drove nothing but utilitarian trucks for 20 yrs. I hit 45 this yr and started to have dreams that I still owned the Supra. When i'd wake up I would be super disappointed that it was a dream rather than reality. I guess that's what they call the mid-life crisis.

That's what I would want. Been tracking times over the years and the best I've heard on pump (no meth) is 10.15 - 138.53 - 5.75 (60-130). I would be happy to be in that orbit but 9.9X and/or 140.X on MPS4S's and pump would be spectacular.

I went out and last night in the cooler air and did my first 60-130 from a roll. previously I had only tested concurrently with 1/4 mile pulls. Top end is money on this stage 5.

I got a laugh out of this as I pulled into my driveway. Pulling 23mpg and having well over 900 hp at the crank is amazing. Gotta love these cars.

LOL. Had the same crisis in 2020 when I was 43 and got the P car to help me through it. Best decision with no regrets. Unreal animal.
