This month I purchased a 2014 911 Turbo S and reached out to a Porsche dealer regarding the Fidelity mechanical warranty coverage. For three years the coverage is $5500 for platinum and $4800 for gold, no powertrain option is available as a standalone. My car has a Softronics tune, soul performance downpipes and exhaust, H&R Springs and DSC controller so I’m assuming a lot of this coverage will be voided? Anyway to determine what will be covered and the value of this coverage?

All of the options (in terms of duration and mileage limits) seem to be set up for "daily drivers" that are driven 10K miles or more a year. For my "toy" cars I would want coverage for 5-6 or more years but only 20K miles or so. Is anything like that possibe?

I appreciate you wanting to modify your vehicle. I would also suggest you check with your insurer as modifications to any element of the vehicle will be of interest to them. At the very least, have their perspective and that of your dealer to help guide your decision on cost/benefit.
