Default Thoughts On lowering a Turbo S

2017, 991.2 Turbo S here and I am looking to lower the car a little bit for looks more than anything else. This is a daily driver.

Looking at a set of KW H.A.S Coil overs and a cancellation kit made by them as well.

I hate to lose the factory ride control but I feel a little more comfortable buying a set of coil overs that are height adjustable for one and the fact the springs where designed as a package as opposed to just installing a set of springs to lower the car.

Thoughts?

I just did Tech Art springs and no regrets. I say go for it. Can always undo it if you don't like it.

I did the Eibach springs on my 991.1 TTS , ride is great and does not lower the car as much as other springs, very pleased with ride

Queksiblber: How low and which Eibach springs did you use? I am looking for about an 1" on the rear and 1.1/2" on the front.

Seems my car is a little nose high. I am only worried about using springs only due to not being adjustable height. Maybe I am over thinking this whole deal.

A little better ride quality would be helpful.

I was in the same position as you when i wanted to lower my TTS.
When I did the research, I was told that springs alone was not the correct way to lower the car. (not slamming anyone here that did that)

So i opted with the full Bilstein kit and had it done at World Motorsports. I was able to lower the car perfectly and retain the stock ride quality. Huge difference on how the car
rotates through the canyons and tight turns. Love it.
Do your research is my advice.

CodyzWorld", Thanks for the reply. I am with you on the springs are not the correct way to do this. I just hate to loss the OEM ride control with a coil over install.

I did come across some KB springs that are ride hight adjustable so not to lose the ride control.

I need to research the stock spring rate and compare.

I guess I am answering my own questions here in a round about way. I will post what ever I end up with and maybe it will help someone down the road.

@CodyzWorld Which Bilstein kit did you go with (B12 or B16, other)? Your stance looks great!

Go for it. I've been on H&Rs for over 2 years. No rubbing, scarping, etc. Ride is similar to OEM. No complaints.

For a daily driver, you can't go wrong with the KW HAS

We stock this product and guarantee to ship in 1-2 business days on stock items.

I am interested in this set up, are you able to maintain "almost" the same ride height as stock? I live in Dallas and we have a pothole or two and some steep driveways.

mine are 0.8 in front and 0.4 in for the rear., its not slammed but just enough- and don't have to worry about bottoming out on speed bumps or steep entrances or exits

I'm not sure about this. I lowered it because to me my TTS looked like an offroad 4X4 truck.
I also have FAL so I was recommended this kit by World Motorsports.

FYI - once installed, factory negative camber called for 1.5, the new kit's maximum positive camber is 1.9.
Not enough to buy aftermarket suspension components, i'll just corner harder and buy more rear tires.
