Default Silly Lease buyout questions

Guys,

I have a client with a lightly used 202 Carrera Cab that will soon becoming off of a 3 year lease. The current market value appears to be substantially higher than her lease residual. Her boyfriend told her, "Simple, just take it to CarMax and they will make you an offer!"

I can't help but think that $100K+ Carreras aren't exactly the bread & butter of Carmax. Any other recommendations for where a So Cal gal should take her Carrera to get a 3rd party offer on the car? Thanks to all. best regards.

Rob

A few years back I sold my daughters Volvo S80 to Carvana. Just for grins I asked about my 991.2 and he said the highest he could offer was 100K for any car. I'd imagine Carmax would be in the same ball park.

Carmax will lowball and immediately throw special cars on their own Manheim auction lineup where it gets scooped up quickly. Carmax sweet spot is between the 50-70k dollar amount. Anything over 70 and your getting low balled.

Market is soft. KBB instant cash offer might still work. Carvana is waxed.

Local Porsche dealers or Autonation. All likely low ball especially cash out no trades
