New Rims and offset advice please
I'm looking into getting another set of rims, havent decided on the particulars but here's my question.
For those of you who purchased aftermarket rims, with a wider offset, did you notice the difference in handling and ride? In theory a wider offset should make the vehicle handle better
but is it noticeable? Does anything rub with a lowered stance? Do you have any advice that you can offer?
What is the widest tires one can use with the rims?

Don't feel any difference in the change of wheels alone, but I am running OEM tire sizes. No rubbing whatsoever, as with most setups.
With that said most common setups range between 20/21x9-9.5 fr / 20/21x11.5-12 rr Really it all comes down to the look your going for.
Its always easier narrowing it down to what wheels you want and working with a vendor.

My aftermarket summer rear wheels have less offset than my OE rear wheels (“wider offset”). I run factory tire sizes and my aftermarket front wheels have factory offset. My car is not lowered. I haven’t noticed any difference in handling, ride, or road feel.

If you stay with a similar diameter but a wider wheel/tire/forged wheel you should notice a difference.

I noticed a positive difference in steering and braking by switching to HRE R101 Lightweight wheels. Nearly 30 pounds of unpsrung weight was shaved off if you factor the weight of the tires. Did not feel a difference in acceleration but I'm sure it's a hair quicker. Felt the biggest difference when switching to Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's in 265 front 325 rear. Tires making the biggest difference. Do not run drag radials on the back as that ruins the essence of the 911 by sacrificing handling in a couple of ways. 20x9 front +44 20x12 +45.
I haven't had any issues with rubbing on stock suspension, even with the wheels turned full lock the front tires don't touch the fender liners in the wheel wells.
