I have had lot's of regrets selling some of my cars. Everything from late 60's to early 70 muscle cars that I should of kept. ( Can't keep everything ) Some of my later cars that I still kick myself for. 2002 E39 M5 Individual. 2003 RS6.
I also have a 96 GTS Dodge Viper Supercharged that's mostly a half mile car that makes 1100 to the wheel I keep going back and forth on selling but when I start getting serious I can't do it.

When I finally had a chance to get TTS I was pleasantly surprised on how much of a supercar it was. Of course meeting people on this forum like @911Dude makes the Mod bug come into play. But for now I'll be keeping this one for a bit.

I have a very hard time letting things go. The ONLY thing I have sold in recent years was a pristine 87 CRX Si; I was sad.

They were just fun enthusiast cars, and maybe it is hindsight because they are now worth a small fortune.

To me the 911 is a great do it all car. Just hit 3500 miles since buying it July 1st, and drive it rain/shine, taken 2 road trips already, and like that I can work on it. I think sooner or later, you will just want another fun car if you do the SUV thing. Enthusiast don't stay away for long.

Now if you want to sell me your wheels and a bunch of mods cheap, then my answer is changed to hell no, sell it you won't regret anything.
I understand your regret in selling one of these.

Golden era of Honda. Incredible engineering went into their 4 cylinder engines. One of the funnest cars I've owned was an RSX-S with a turbocharged "frankenstein" motor which was a K24 block mated with a K20 head. 490whp on 91 and 620whp on E85. Ball bearing Garrett turbo, built trans with close ratios. 1st gear went to 60mph and it gripped. That car hurt a lot of feelings.

I have never driven one of those, but there are (were) a number of them running around Vancouver.

One of the things that is striking about the R is no matter how much you run it up to 9k rpm, it just keeps singing.

It is a pity that it is worth more now sitting in the shop, than driving it.

Since this thread's meandering off course...

... I have sold some non-Porsches. No remorse for any of them except every once in a while for this one(*) that I sold to make room for the Turbo:

(*) Only for the engine though. That inline-5 turbo was a jewel of a motor.

If memory serves, that engine was decended from that super fancy short wheelbase 300hp Quattro which was built in limited numbers so Audi could go and race somewhere.

I would have been sad to see the 280z go, those are fun cars to drive.

I've decided to look at a 2019 Turbo next week.
No regrets on my new purchase of this 2019 TT

01 BMW E46 M3 LSB 6SPD Manual 40K Miles. Sold it three years ago for 35K, probably worth double now.
