Some people indeed feel/think that, while others do not. Reports seem to be subjective and variable.

I've had a Soul cat bypass / Sharkwerks X pipe combo that droned really bad and was unbearable to me. I know run a full Kline system including headers and there is absolutely no drone yet the car sounds great and 1/2-full throttle.

Have a soul xpipe with their sport cats for the last few weeks, was initially worried about this very thing but happily no vibration problems.

I met up with some fellow Porsche folks for a group drive recently, and I was stunned at how much louder the Soul exhaust setup was compared to the Kline on my car, even at part throttle cruise and even at idle. So much subjectivity when it comes to exhaust sound, it's really not practical to get opinions from anyone. The only way that worked for me was listening to other cars with the setups I was interested in, and deciding from there.

I spent a lot of time on youtube looking at a number of videos of my exact setup before I made my purchase... then I also had a friend who had the same setup locally on their .1 Turbo. The youtube videos helped tremendously but even then that's not going to be exact because of how different folks record audio but it helped alot.

I don’t really care about loud I love the way the soul sounds it’s the drone that drives me nuts like when you’re cruising and you give partial throttle and everything In the car vibrates and rattles like that’s the part that annoys me other than that I love the way it sounds its mean as **** So my plan was to sound deadening the back rear deck lid and the backseats

The problem I see with you putting in enough sound deadening material to get rid of the drone, ... you're going to mask the sound that you like as well.

I am fine with small amount of drone it’s a trade off
so I won’t put much and I won’t stick it down I’ll just lay it out and see if I like it

I’ve never had any luck with sound deadening and exhaust noise. DynaMat did nothing. Good if you have a vibrating panel, but not much dB reduction.

Drone is typically very low frequency and goes right through sound deadening. It is much more effective on high frequency noise. Just like subwoofers can be placed under a rear seat or trunk, while you want tweeters aimed at you and up front to hear them clearly. Same concept.

This is why I did the full Kline system. I need my old man quiet car.

This is where I am too. WOT is one thing, but I was perfectly content with the OEM exhaust sound and loudness at idle, cruise and part throttle - lot of people feel differently about the OEM exhaust. I didn't want an exhaust restriction holding me back with the other bolt on mods, but I wasn't willing to step into a much louder setup that would make the car hard to be in or carry conversation with my wife. Kline was the best combination for me - sounds OEM at idle, cruise and part throttle but it's a banshee at WOT.
